There are no words that can ease that pain

There are no words that can ease that pain.  That is the reflection of the day.  This morning, I received a call from my business partner, Gina.  She was telling me how she cannot get in touch with her cousin, her best friend, someone that she is extremely close to, and how a few people were trying to get in touch with him and couldn't.   She was so afraid that something serious had happened to him. Unfortunately, a few hours later, they found out that he died in his bed.  The pain was unbearable for her.  I realized that I actually listened to the pastor preaching about the fact that during this time, where so many people are losing their loved ones, when you are there for those people, you need to just be there and not lecture them.  He was saying how nobody is in that mindset during the loss of someone that they deeply love and they are not ready to accept any words.  There are no words to ease the pain.  All you can do is be there to support them, be there to love them and find a way to care for whatever it is that they need.   It could be bringing them dinner or it could be just running an errand for them.  Whatever it is, we have to be there for them but we are not, in any way, there to lecture them.  To even try not to let them mourn and to tell them that they will be ok and they need to be strong! There are no strong people when you lose the person that you love.  You can fake being strong but it is the pain that there is no way to get rid of it.   At the moment, it is a process and only time can heal those wounds of the loss of our loved ones.  So during this time, if you know people that are near you, whether they're close to you or not, just be there to support them.
