“Thessalonica and Berea” – A Sermon on Acts 17:1–15

📝 SERMON DESCRIPTIONIn Acts 17:1–15, Paul and Silas continue proclaiming the gospel amid both opposition and faith. In Thessalonica, Paul reasons from the Scriptures, explaining that the Christ had to suffer and rise from the dead and declaring that Jesus is the promised Christ. Some believe, while others respond with jealousy, hostility, and persecution.When Paul and Silas arrive in Berea, they find people who receive the Word with eagerness and examine the Scriptures daily to determine whether these things are true. Many of them believe.This passage reminds us that the gospel must be proclaimed from the Scriptures, that God’s Word demands a response, and that true spiritual readiness is marked by both eagerness and careful examination.
