“The Second Missionary Journey Begins” – A Sermon on Acts 15:36–16:10
In Acts 15:36–16:10, we see the Lord directing the advance of the gospel through both human weakness and divine guidance. Paul and Barnabas part ways over a sharp disagreement, yet God continues to multiply gospel laborers and strengthen His churches. Timothy joins Paul in the work, the churches are encouraged in the faith, and the Holy Spirit redirects the mission toward Macedonia. This passage reminds us that Christ rules over His church, works through imperfect servants, guides His people by His Spirit, and opens new doors for the gospel according to His sovereign purpose.🙏 Join Us for Worship 🕙 Every Sunday at 10 AM 📍 40 Church Street, Damariscotta, ME 04543 🌐 www.twinvillageschurch.org🔗 Stay Connected 👍 Facebook: facebook.com/twinvillageschurch ▶️ YouTube: youtube.com/twinvillageschurch🎧 Apple Podcasts: twinvillageschurch.org/apple 🔊 Spotify: twinvillageschurch.org/spotify 💖 Give: twinvillageschurch.org/give 📚 More Resources: twinvillageschurch.org👤 Preacher: Pastor Phil Nicewonger🗓️ Sermon Date: Sunday, June 21st, 2026

“The Jerusalem Council” – A Sermon on Acts 15:1–35
In Acts 15:1–35, the early church faces a crucial question: must Gentile believers be circumcised and keep the law of Moses in order to be saved? As false teaching threatens the clarity of the gospel and the unity of the church, the apostles and elders gather in Jerusalem to consider the matter. Peter, Barnabas, Paul, and James testify that salvation comes by the grace of the Lord Jesus, not by works of the law. This passage reminds us that the gospel must be guarded, grace must remain central, and Christ unites His church across every background through faith in Him alone.🙏 Join Us for Worship 🕙 Every Sunday at 10 AM 📍 40 Church Street, Damariscotta, ME 04543 🌐 www.twinvillageschurch.org🔗 Stay Connected 👍 Facebook: facebook.com/twinvillageschurch ▶️ YouTube: youtube.com/twinvillageschurch 🎧 Apple Podcasts: twinvillageschurch.org/apple 🔊 Spotify: twinvillageschurch.org/spotify 💖 Give: twinvillageschurch.org/give 📚 More Resources: twinvillageschurch.org👤 Preacher: Pastor Phil Nicewonger 🗓️ Sermon Date: Sunday, June 14th, 2026

“Finishing the First Journey” – A Sermon on Acts 14:1–28
📝 Sermon Description In Acts 14:1–28, Paul and Barnabas continue their missionary journey with courage, perseverance, and dependence on the grace of God. As they preach the gospel in Iconium, Lystra, and Derbe, many believe, yet opposition follows them from city to city. Even after Paul is stoned and left for dead, the missionaries press on, strengthening the souls of the disciples and encouraging them to continue in the faith. This passage reminds us that the advance of the gospel often comes through hardship, but Christ faithfully builds His church through the witness of His people. Paul and Barnabas not only proclaim the good news but also return to appoint elders, establish churches, and report all that God had done—especially how He had opened a door of faith to the Gentiles. Through this passage, we are reminded that faithful ministry requires boldness in suffering, endurance in obedience, and trust in the sovereign grace of God to finish the work He has begun.🙏 Join Us for Worship 🕙 Every Sunday at 10 AM 📍 40 Church Street, Damariscotta, ME 04543 🌐 www.twinvillageschurch.org🔗 Stay Connected 👍 Facebook: facebook.com/twinvillageschurch ▶️ YouTube: youtube.com/twinvillageschurch 🎧 Apple Podcasts: twinvillageschurch.org/apple 🔊 Spotify: twinvillageschurch.org/spotify 💖 Give: twinvillageschurch.org/give 📚 More Resources: twinvillageschurch.org🗓️ Sermon Date: Sunday, June 7th, 2026 Pastor Phil Nicewonger

“Paul Preaches Jesus in Pisidian Antioch” – A Sermon on Acts 13:13–52
📝 Sermon Description In Acts 13:13–52, Paul stands in the synagogue of Pisidian Antioch and proclaims the good news of Jesus Christ as the fulfillment of God’s promises to Israel. Beginning with God’s gracious work in the history of His people, Paul shows that Jesus is the promised Savior, crucified according to God’s plan and raised from the dead in victory. Through Him, forgiveness of sins is proclaimed, and everyone who believes is freed from what the law of Moses could never accomplish.Yet this passage also shows the divided response to the gospel. Some receive the Word with joy, while others reject it in jealousy and unbelief. As opposition rises, Paul and Barnabas boldly declare that the salvation of God is not only for the Jews but also for the Gentiles, fulfilling the Lord’s purpose to bring His light to the nations. Through this passage, we are reminded that Jesus is the center of all Scripture, the resurrection is the foundation of our hope, and the gospel must be proclaimed with boldness to all who will hear.🙏 Join Us for Worship 🕙 Every Sunday at 10 AM 📍 40 Church Street, Damariscotta, ME 04543 🌐 www.twinvillageschurch.org🔗 Stay Connected 👍 Facebook: facebook.com/twinvillageschurch ▶️ YouTube: youtube.com/twinvillageschurch 🎧 Apple Podcasts: twinvillageschurch.org/apple 🔊 Spotify: twinvillageschurch.org/spotify 💖 Give: twinvillageschurch.org/give 📚 More Resources: twinvillageschurch.org🗓️ Sermon Date: Sunday, May 31st, 2026

“Rescue and Judgment” – A Sermon on Acts 12:1–25
📝 Sermon Description In Acts 12:1–25, we see both the deadly opposition of earthly powers and the unstoppable triumph of the Word of God. Herod persecutes the church, James is killed, Peter is imprisoned, and the saints gather in earnest prayer. Yet the Lord rescues Peter, humbles the pride of Herod, and causes His Word to increase and multiply. This passage reminds us that Christ reigns over kings, delivers His people according to His wisdom, judges human arrogance, and builds His church through prayer, suffering, and the advance of the gospel.🙏 Join Us for Worship 🕙 Every Sunday at 10 AM 📍 40 Church Street, Damariscotta, ME 04543 🌐 www.twinvillageschurch.org🔗 Stay Connected 👍 Facebook: facebook.com/twinvillageschurch ▶️ YouTube: youtube.com/twinvillageschurch 🎧 Apple Podcasts: twinvillageschurch.org/apple 🔊 Spotify: twinvillageschurch.org/spotify 💖 Give: twinvillageschurch.org/give 📚 More Resources: twinvillageschurch.org🗓️ Sermon Date: Sunday, May 17th, 2026

In Acts 11:19–30, we see the grace of God at work as the gospel spreads to Antioch. What began through scattered believers becomes a growing church marked by gospel proclamation, faithful encouragement, deep discipleship, and generous mercy. As Barnabas sees the grace of God and rejoices, and as Saul joins him in teaching the church, the disciples are first called Christians in Antioch. Though Saul was not seeking Christ, Christ sought him, demonstrating that no sinner is beyond the reach of God’s mercy and that salvation is entirely the work of God. Through the faithful obedience of Ananias, Saul is welcomed into the fellowship of believers and quickly begins proclaiming that Jesus is the Son of God. The one who once tried to destroy the church is now used by God to strengthen it, reminding us that the same Lord who stopped Saul on the Damascus road still saves sinners and builds His church through the power of the gospel today.🙏 Join Us for Worship🕙 Every Sunday at 10 AM📍 40 Church Street, Damariscotta, ME 04543🌐 www.twinvillageschurch.org🔗 Stay Connected👍 Facebook: facebook.com/twinvillageschurch▶️ YouTube: youtube.com/twinvillageschurch🎧 Apple Podcasts: twinvillageschurch.org/apple🔊 Spotify: twinvillageschurch.org/spotify💖 Give: twinvillageschurch.org/give📚 More Resources: twinvillageschurch.org🗓️ Sermon Date: Sunday, March 15th, 2026
