They Made Light of It

Would you turn down the invitation to a royal wedding? Most are never offered such a privilege and it would be unusual to refuse to attend. Jesus told a story of a king who held a wedding feast for his son and his invitation was casually dismissed by ones who you would think would be part of such an auspicious occasion. They instead went to tend to every day affairs at their farms or businesses and they "made light" of the king's invitation. The king was angry with their flippant unconcern about the celebration of his son's wedding.
