Aliás, foi em busca dele que desde cedo resolveu fazer da sua jornada um grande laboratório de experiências da vida e de suas complexidades. Expulso de casa aos 16 anos, foi obrigado a precocemente buscar independência. Aos 18 anos, mesmo sem diploma, já era engenheiro de sistemas na Microsoft - o mais jovem da América Latina. Pouco depois, se tornou empresário e, por mais de uma década, sustentou uma vida de muitas conquistas materiais, até entender que o verdadeiro sucesso mora em outras "oitavas". Vendeu o tinha e se jogou pelo mundo por três anos, atravessando 75 países, entre eles o Butão, na Ásia e uma viagem de moto do Alasca até a América do Sul onde aproveitou para visitar projetos de educação alternativa e comunidades sustentáveis pelo mundo. Neste período, descobriu que sua verdadeira viagem foi a interna. De volta ao Brasil, não teve dúvida que a educação era o que lhe movia e depois de muita busca fundou a "Cidade Escola Ayni", um espaço que une diferentes iniciativas pedagógicas em Guaporé, no Rio Grande do Sul.
