The third Philadelphia police officer who was shot last weekend in the city’s Wynnefield section has been released from the hospital. The 30-year-old left Penn Presbyterian Hospital on Friday afternoon. He and two other officers were shot last Saturday by Eric Franks, a retired Philadelphia firefighter, who officials say opened fire on them as they were trying to arrest him. Police fired back, killing Franks. The two other wounded officers were released earlier this week. The entire incident was caught on both surveillance video and body-worn cameras. It's being investigated by Internal Affairs and the District Attorney’s Office. (photo credit: NBC10)
