This Rhea Ripley Decision Makes NO Sense!

from Wrestle Chop: WWE Wrestling Podcast

WWE SmackDown had plenty of news, but the biggest story was WWE's decision to keep Rhea Ripley as Women's Champion while introducing an interim champion due to her injury. I don't have an issue with Rhea Ripley herself—she's one of WWE's biggest stars and often gets blamed for things that aren't her fault. My problem is with the booking. To me, this decision is another example of WWE fumbling the women's division. If a champion can't defend the title, there should be clear rules that apply to everyone. Instead, it feels like those rules change depending on who is holding the championship. That's not good for the division, and it creates unnecessary confusion heading into SummerSlam. I'll also break down everything else that happened on SmackDown, including the biggest matches, the best and worst moments of the night, standout performances, and my overall grade for the show. Let me know in the comments—do you agree with WWE's decision, or should the Women's Championship have been handled differently? #WWE #SmackDown #RheaRipley #TripleH #wrestlechop For business related inquiries contact me at: [email protected]
