Faculty and students at Casey Elementary School in Jackson at were able to resume activities after someone reportedly phoned in a threat on Friday morning. According to Capitol Police, law enforcement was notified of the threat around 9:20 a.m. The Meridian Public School District is working with local law enforcement to ensure students are in the classroom. A new daytime curfew has been instituted, requiring school-age pupils to be in class from 8 a.m. until 3 p.m., with exceptions for appointments and early release.
