When we read through wisdom literature in the Bible one thing becomes clear, we do not want to be fools. The fool does not have a great ending and there are a plethora of negative sentiments made about the fool. However, Proverbs 29:20, tells us that the person who speaks quickly, without thinking, has less hope than a fool.   How we speak matters. As dads it is easy to speak quickly to our children to serve ourselves and convenience. This is usually done by forming assumptions, trying to display our superiority, and forecasting.
