We can guard against spiritual forgetfulness through repentance, Scripture meditation, faithful church attendance, creating memorials of God's goodness, and testifying to others. The early believers joyfully endured persecution because they remembered they had a better and enduring substance in heaven, understanding that following Christ comes with a cost but offers eternal rewards.
