Through The Body We Remember and Return

from Empowered Conversations Podcast · host Suzi Petrozzi

Emily Cooper has worked in Community Arts for over 16 years. She brings genuine warmth, inclusivity and creativity to her work as a dance teacher and a drum teacher in mental health, school, corporate and community settings.  She has studied extensively in New York and Africa and performed and toured in numerous cross-cultural works, as well as directing productions for theatres and festivals.  In her local Blue Mountains community, Emily is known for her joyful, nourishing community drum and dance classes involving a wonderfully diverse range of ages and abilities. In her classes, all bodies can dance. In our Empowered Conversation, we explore how Emily followed her internal pulse from classical ballet to African dancing and drumming, leading her to deep and meaningful work especially with those who are hurting the most. Her commitment to being kind and becoming one with those she is with, through her teaching and just being who she is, opens up a window of opportunity for others to reclaim their wholesomeness. There is something incredibly powerful in what Emily instills through her work, and it’s about remembering to come back to ourselves through our bodies.Resources:- Emily Cooper and Hands Heart and Feet https://handsheartfeet.com/ - Emily Cooper Facebook: https://m.facebook.com/Hands-Heart-Feet-141864929200915/                             Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/user/HandsHeartFeet                                Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/handsheartfeet/   ************ If you enjoyed this episode of Empowered Conversations, PLEASE SUBSCRIBE to hear more empowering stories. I would appreciate if you could LEAVE A REVIEW so that more people can find the podcast and be inspired by Empowered Conversations.************ Learn more about Suzi Petrozzi's online empowerment programs check out: http://suzipetrozzi.com/See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
