Thyroid Gland: Why didn't we get two of them?

Send us Fan MailWhy do we only have one Thyroid Gland?  Why didn't God give us two, like He did with lungs and kidneys?  We have two eyes, ears, nostrils, arms, hands, legs, testicles, ovaries, lungs and kidneys, but only one brain, heart, liver, pecker and the dang thyroid glad.  I digress.Anyway, I need to learn how to fix my Thyroid Gland which for years now has been on strike.  And it appears transplant ain't the option.
