My name is Tiffany Barnum. I am 33 the mother of a 6 year old and a partner of a hard working man. I am a recovering addict alcoholic. My drugs of choice is anything mood altering. After years of battling untreated mental illness, being in and out of jail, on and off the street today I am 5 months sober. And I owe it all to the program of recovery and my higher power. I am not a religious person but I do believe in something greater then me. I work the 12 steps, work with a sponsor and have a support group of women that all help hold me accountable and keep me on track all while working full time and being a mother. I have been in and out of a few treatment facilities but it didn't work until I wanted it for myself. And today I truly want it for me, No one else. If I could pass anything on it is that there are resources available and that you just have to be able to ask for the help.
