from Tiger Talk Podcast by Northeast Mississippi Community College · host Will Kollmeyer, Northeast Mississippi Community College

In this forty-fourth (44th) episode of the TigerTalk Podcast by Northeast Mississippi Community College, host Will Kollmeyer tees up some breaking news at the college as the Tiger golf program will make its return to campus during the 2019-2020 academic year. Northeast head golf coach Derek DeVaughn jump starts the podcast and the golf program with his first official sit-down interview and discusses all aspects of golf returning to the campus including National Signing Day for the program -- November 1 -- and how the college has gone about making sure that the program will succeed with local talent. DeVaughn, who also serves as an industrial maintenance technology instructor in the college's division of business and engineering technology, also gives insights on the program, how competitive it has become in the past few years and what a student, leaving Northeast with a two-year degree, is expected to make in the real world. In the second half of the weekly podcast, Northeast's Campus Country director Chris Dunn returns to TigerTalk to talk about his upcoming Showtime in the Seth Pounds Auditorium on Thursday, September 20 at 7 p.m. Dunn also introduces listeners to the 15-member band and gives them a rundown of the 25-song setlist that will be featured in the first Showtime of the year. Kollmeyer wraps up the podcast with a new addition to the publication -- an extended version of what is coming up on campus that details events happening on and around the Northeast campus in a daily breakdown.
