School began just a day ago, so the TigerTalk podcast returns to its regularly scheduled weekly format with Northeast head football coach Greg Davis and Student Government Association president Channing Barkley. Davis gives an in-depth interview about the 2019 Tiger football team including how they did in a scrimmage against Holmes CC last week at the University of Mississippi, how the 2019 team is shaping up with new faces and new positions for the Tiger athletes and talks a little about the college having so many former players in the National Football League. In the second half of the podcast, Student Government Association president Channing Barkley stops in to give a run-down of the SGA/Student Activities that will be happening in the next 2-3 weeks while talking about tonight's SGA back-to-school Luau at the Gaye Roden Carr Aquatic Center. Barkley lists off the dates both Homecoming 2019 nominations as well as the 2019-2020 SGA representative elections that will be happening later this month. Between the segments, Will Kollmeyer gives a rundown of all the events that are happening on campus before the beginning of the school year and some major dates that people need to know about when they return to campus.
