In episode 122 of the TigerTalk podcast presented by Northeast Mississippi Community College, host Will Kollmeyer welcomes Northeast president, Dr. Ricky G. Ford, to the podcast as Kollmeyer and Ford sit down to discuss what is happening at the college. In this week's update, Dr. Ford updates listeners about how Northeast was prepared to welcome faculty and students back to face-to-face classes last week and the successful job that the college has done in being flexible while facing uncertain times. Ford brags on the college's employees about the job they have done and also mentions two high-ranking awards that Northeast has received in the past few weeks. Ford gives listeners an update on enrollment and how the college is doing with dual enrollment considering some K-12 schools have not come back from summer vacation yet. Ford stresses that to beat the COVID that everyone must do three things: 1) Socially distance when possible, 2) Wear a Mask, and 3) Wash their hands and have good hygiene. In addition to those three things, Ford also reiterates the fact that if a person is placed on quarantine, they must stay in their location and not be asymptomatic carriers of the virus.Just a reminder, while Northeast's face-to-face classes started last week, you or someone you know have a chance to attend one of the nation's top community college's when it comes to online education.
