Ford talks about the college's collaboration with Baptist Memorial Hospital in Booneville to try to make vaccines available to NEMCC employees but encourages those in categories who can get the vaccine quicker, to go ahead and get vaccinated if they should so choose to do so. Recruiting is going to be big going into the 2021-22 school year and Ford wants all employees to focus on bolstering the ranks of the Northeast student rank and file with consorted effort to help boost enrollment for years to come. Ford talks about the upcoming Orientation -- one in the spring and one in the summer. Dual enrolled/Dual credit students will get a chance to go through Orientation in April while Orientation sessions will return to face-to-face in the summer as graduated high school seniors come to Northeast to make out their schedules for the fall. Ford, who is in Jackson, talks about the legislative needs of not only Northeast but the other 14 community colleges around the state discusses the need for more appropriations to the community colleges to help them keep the high-quality of education to the students. Ford gives an update on two construction projects - the Northeast at Ripley center and Northeast's Corinth campus becoming one of the largest COVID-19 vaccination sites in northeast Mississippi. Northeast at Corinth's partnership with Magnolia Regional Health Center sees the center open Monday-Friday from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. and even open during the upcoming Spring Break. Ford talks about two awards -- from the Mississippi Historical Society and the Mississippi Forestry Commission as well as discusses changes to the Mobile Learning Conference for the summer during this week's episode.  🎙️TigerTalk – where Northeast tells its story, one episode at a time. For those who may have missed an episode, all Northeast TigerTalk episodes are archived at https://nemcctigertalk.simplecast.com.--NEMCC--Information about Northeast Mississippi Community CollegeNortheast Mississippi Community College is a leading educational institution that provides comprehensive academic, technical, and workforce training programs to empower students and promote lifelong learning.
