In this week's episode, Northeast president Ricky G. Ford returns from a two-week hiatus to inform the public about all the things happening at one of the top community colleges in the nation. Ford tells listeners that the college is on the downhill side of the semester and there are just a few weeks remaining until graduation and students will be leaving campus to transfer to four-year colleges and universities, picking up a trade or heading into the workforce with the best training that the college can give them. In an update on events, Ford talks about Sealant Day at the Dental Hygiene Program on the fourth floor of Childers Hall where second graders from around Prentiss County come in to get sealant placed on their teeth. This event also so interdivision cooperation as many of the health science programs come together to help make this event a success. Ford gives an update on events that include a giveaway by the Marketing/PR Committees of a commemorative golden stress ball with a Northeast logo at the April 6 baseball game and the April 12 softball game. The first 50 fans through the gates will get a chance at the giveaway. Ford also talks about the Mobile Learning Conference on June 13 and June 14, Priority Registration Day on April 8, Honors Day on April 18 and the final Campus Country showtime of the school year on April 21. Tickets are already on sale for the showtime and will sell out quickly so contact any member of the Division of Fine Arts for tickets. Ford discusses the upcoming Dual Enrollment Orientation on April 22 for those who may be considering dual enrolling in Northeast while still in high school and the summer freshman orientations on June 9, 16, 23 and July 12.
