In just under 10 minutes, Northeast president Ricky G. Ford gives a brief rundown of everything that is happening at one of the premier institutions in the United States...Northeast Mississippi Community College. Ford discusses all the changes happening at the top community college in Mississippi such as changes to the graduation times on May 12, May 13 and May 16. Graduation will now happen at 6:30 p.m. instead of the traditional 7 p.m. Health Sciences will graduate on Thursday, May 12 at 6:30 p.m. in the Bonner Arnold Coliseum; Associate of Arts graduation will happen on Friday, May 13 at 6:30 and Adult Education will go on Monday, May 16 at 6:30 p.m. For those who cannot make it to graduation, all commencement exercises will be live streamed on NEMCCTV.com. In addition graduation changes, Ford discusses all the changes to the Northeast family such as open job opportunities for an assistant women's basketball coach, police officer, chemistry instructor, English instructor, economics instructor and information systems technology instructor and interviews happening for the open positions for sociology instructor, computer science instructor, enrollment services assistant, clinical coordinator for the sonography program and speech instructor. Changes continue as Ford talks about the upcoming budget for the 2022-23 academic year and how the changes to the K12 salary funding have put community colleges in a bind in the state with K12 instructors now making more than some community college instructors.
