Northeast Mississippi Community College president Dr. Ricky G. Ford sits down with Marketing and Public Relations Specialist Liz Roark to talk about the upcoming academic year at one of the nation's top community colleges. Ford and Roark discuss the announcement that the college will get a master-level counselor on the Booneville campus for two days a week to help evaluate student mental health. Ford talks about some shocking statistics from a 2021 survey of Northeast students concerning their mental health and addresses what the college is doing to help bolster the mental health of its students. In the second part of the interview, Ford talks about the recently announced Veterans Pass available to all military men and women by contacting the President's Office on campus. The pass gets all military members into any Northeast event - athletic or otherwise -  for free.
