TigerTalk 223 11/30/2022

from Tiger Talk Podcast by Northeast Mississippi Community College · host Ricky G Ford, Liz Roark, Michael H. Miller, Northeast Mississippi Community College

Northeast Mississippi Community College president Dr. Ricky G. Ford sits with Marketing and Public Relations Specialist Liz Roark to talk about the process for signing up for classes at Northeast for the Spring 2023 semester and some of the nuances that go into making Northeast one of the top community colleges in the nation. In the middle portion of the interview, Ford discusses two new programs coming to the college in the Fall of 2023, Court Reporting and Logistics, that will give students an advantage in the workforce when they finish their time at Northeast. Northeast's Court Reporting program will become just the second in the state and allow students to work with judiciary officials and significant industries that should need transcription services. Logistics will enable students to study the inner workings of an industry and learn how to balance schedules, workers and their needs, supply chain standards, and many other issues that affect industries in today's high-tech workforce. In the end, Ford wraps up the interview with the Northeast News. For those who may have missed an episode, all Northeast TigerTalk episodes are archived at https://nemcctigertalk.simplecast.com. 🎙️TigerTalk – where Northeast tells its story, one episode at a time. For those who may have missed an episode, all Northeast TigerTalk episodes are archived at https://nemcctigertalk.simplecast.com.--NEMCC--Information about Northeast Mississippi Community CollegeNortheast Mississippi Community College is a leading educational institution that provides comprehensive academic, technical, and workforce training programs to empower students and promote lifelong learning.
