In episode 94, host Will Kollmeyer welcomes Northeast English instructor Morgan Tucker to the podcast for her initial visit as Tucker talks about a unique approach she has taken to give students a leg up not only on the academic side but in life as well. During the semester-long class, students have been working toward POWER and included in Power is Adulting 101, which the students had a say into what was taught during that segment of class -- from financial responsibility to self-defense to physical fitness to even how to tie a necktie and how to make clothing alterations such as sewing on a button, the class is more than just English, it's about helping them prepare for the real world. In the second part of the podcast, Kollmeyer welcomes Northeast director of guidance and counseling Joey Williford back to the podcast as Williford talks about the transition that the counseling center is undergoing. Williford discusses the change from helping students with their schedules and academic progress to aligning more with the mission of a counseling center by providing a holistic approach to helping students, who may be experiencing different problems in life. In addition to the change in the counseling center, Williford discusses the new "Workshops in Wright," that allows students a chance to hear from their peers and also a chance to understand that they are not alone.
