No matter what level of success you reach in your leadership journey, you can always get knocked down. Oftentimes for leaders, the bigger the title, the greater potential for a much harder fall. From 2009 through 2013, Tim Pernetti was the Athletic Director at his alma mater Rutgers University, and shepherded the school through a transition from the American Athletic Conference to the Big Ten. Despite a successful transition, Pernetti came under fire for his handling of the men’s basketball coach, and was forced to resign in April 2013.  Tim Pernetti, now the President of IMG Academy, joins host Matt Doherty for a conversation about growing up in New Jersey, his time as AD at Rutgers, and his current role at IMG.
