Timesha on MEDITATING 💛

from Breathe Podcast · host Timesha Conyers

We’re done ridding our distractions woohooo. In this episode I speak about meditation and it’s benefits, where I started, where you can begin and some common myths. As a young black girl being introduced to meditation almost four years ago was like a new foreign language I’d never heard of. Thinking that just as many other things meditation was only for “certain kinds of people” due to the way it’s depicted in modern society. Here’s where that barrier breaks, shatters actually. I share my personal experience and journey with meditation and share a nice trick to help you gain focus on the current moment and how to get back to it when you stray. The apps I talk about in this episode that I found to be helpful are headspace, breathe, insight timer and my favorite... Calm. Use my link to calm to get a 30 day guest pass I’ve been using a meditation and sleep app called Calm and I think you’d like it, too. Here’s a free 30-day Guest Pass if you want to check it out: https://www.calm.com/gp/29qulb . If you have any comments issues or questions or even anything you’d like to share hit me up on Instagram @julianherpositivity or email me at [email protected]. Make sure the subject of the email says the title of the podcast. JournalIT prints will be launched this month I’m super excited! I hope you are too. The journey of self care and self love is never ending always evolving but it’s so fulfilling. Thank you for allowing me to take this journey alongside you no matter where you are in it! Thank you for listening 👂 see you soon 🥀
