Tina Drakulich, Founder DJD Foundation

from Cheri Hill Show · host Cheri Hill

The David J. Drakulich Foundation for Freedom of Expression aka DJD Foundation offers art and recreation programs that help establish connections thereby improving the quality of life for those valiant community members. David Drakulich was a young artist who turned soldier serving as an Airborne Ranger with the 82nd Airborne Division. He lost his life on January 9, 2008 in Afghanistan in the Global War on Terror. Joining me today is founding member of the DJD Foundation and mother of David, Tina Drakulich. Through her experience with grief and war related trauma, Tina developed and clung to two understandings: First, art heals and second, generosity protects one’s mental health. www.djdfoundation.org www.Sageintl.com
