This TIPA problem-solving proposal Big Issues related.  .  Again, the Podcast provides a clear overview of this aggressive problem-solving proposal.  A few key points for consideration:  ·      It will replace Voluntary military service that has been the system since the original Draft was ended in the mid-1970s. It never should have been ended in the first place.  ·      This reinstatement of “the Draft” will include both men and women at the age of 18 or 19, generally post-high school graduation.  This is well over 3-million young Americans per year.  ·      It is a 2-year commitment.  They will get about six (6) months of standard military training and then some 18 months that could involve various public works projects, e.g., build schools, build roads, build housing.  ·      The renewed Military Draft will be the vehicle America utilizes as we “finally” begin to plan and work on the eventual involuntary residential relocation of some 50 to 60 million (or more) of our citizens over the remainder of this century!  ·      This will be an interesting debate.
