Does the thought of heaven have an effect on your life today?How do you feel about the fact that Jesus purchased you (1 Cor 6:19-20) to be his own possession and to make you a slave to God (Romans 6:17-23)?  No one likes to show up to a formal event with a stain on their clothing or in tatty, old, smelly, worn out clothing. Yet this is a description (though far far worse) of how our sin makes us look before God. How does the thought of Jesus purifying you, 'giving you a new garment' make you feel (see Zechariah 3:1-5)? How does waiting for Jesus to appear in glory, and Jesus giving himself for our redemption make us zealous for good works?
