Saint John Gualbert’s life reveals the harmony of mercy and truth. He forgave his brother’s murderer for the sake of Christ, yet later resisted corruption within the Church with fearless firmness. His example teaches us to love our enemies without excusing error, to expose false prophets without hatred, and to defend Tradition without allowing zeal to become bitterness.
