Today’s homily: St Thomas of Canterbury (2025)

Within the joy of the Christmas Octave, the Church sets before us St Thomas a Becket, bishop and martyr. Formed in courts and power, he refused to surrender the rights of Christ’s Church to royal custom. As the Good Shepherd of the Gospel, he did not flee the wolf but laid down his life before the altar.
