Today’s homily: Sunday Lent IV (2026)

On Laetare Sunday, the Church pauses in the midst of Lent to remind us of the joy that lies ahead. St. Paul’s Epistle to the Galatians reveals the deep mystery of our spiritual birth: through baptism we become children of the promise, born not of the bondage of the old law but of the freedom of the heavenly Jerusalem, our Mother the Church.
