Today’s homily: The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary (2026)

The Assumption reveals the final triumph of Christ’s grace in His Mother. Having completed her earthly life of obedience, service, contemplation and suffering, Mary is taken body and soul into heavenly glory. The ancient Gospel of Martha and Mary teaches the spiritual heart of the feast: amid all the cares of life, only one thing is ultimately necessary — the possession of God.
