Today’s homily: The Transfiguration of Our Lord

The Transfiguration reveals Christ’s divine glory not to exempt His disciples from the Cross, but to strengthen them for it. On Tabor, the Law and the Prophets bear witness to Him, while the Father commands: “Hear ye Him.” The feast therefore calls us to obedient faith, purification from sin, and perseverance through suffering.
