Welcome, welcome to today's inspiration. We want to thank you for joining us here. Thank you for allowing us to come into your living room or kitchen or wherever you might be. And we're going to continue on with the characteristics of religious affairs.
So let me open up in prayer. Lord God, I thank you, Lord Jesus, for the time that we are able to spend with these people, Lord God, with your saints, Lord Jesus. I pray, Lord God, that you will speak through us, that you will use us, Lord God, that we surrender ourselves, surrender ourselves as a vessel, Lord God, that you may speak to us, use us in any way and fashion that you would have, Lord God. So Lord God, I ask you to speak right now to these people.
In Jesus name, I pray, amen. Amen, amen. Okay, if you took notes from the last one that we started on, we only got through one and two. So we're going to do three.
So get your Bibles, get your notes. Before we go, remember we talked about religious spirits, had no authority in Jesus Christ. And in religious, religion steals the youthful joy of young people in serving Jesus. And now we're on number three, which is?
Religion is an anti-avangelism spirit. Now, just right there, you can look at that. If you are bound up in religion, then you're going to have a harder time evangelizing. And that's what we're all called to do.
Matthew 23, 15, I'm going to have you read that, but hold on. Warns that religious sections of the church that they lose more souls than they win. Their converts become doubly as hellish as them. And you're saying, what does that mean?
That means that you're getting so bound up in religion and rules that you have lost your freedom. And you begin to act out. And actually, you begin to maybe not want to go to church, not want to disconnect yourself from the body of Christ. And then other spirits come in and attack you, which we're going to be discussing.
But if you'll read that scripture running, please. Yes, woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites, because you travel around on sea and land to make one proselyte. And when he becomes one, you make him twice as much a son of hell as yourself. Ooh, man.
Listen, grace sorrow awaits you religious scholars and you Pharisees, such fraud and pretenders. For you will travel over lake and land to find one disciple only to make him twice the child of hell as yourself. You understand what he's saying? He's saying that the religious person will go out there and find somebody to disciple them and raise them up.
And what they are initially, what they're doing is they're raising them up in that whole religious spirit. So they disciple someone into religion. And then it turns that person, because it says here, that scripture twice as much as a son of hell. That's what Jesus is saying there.
That's the red letter right there. Jesus is saying that. So it turns that person away from relationship of Jesus to a now religious person. And remember, religious people is the one who put Jesus on the cross.
That's the next one actually. So it keeps you from doing what our first commandment was and going into the nations, going into the world to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ. And it's pretty much in a nutshell on that one. Number four, and he just said it, religious is anti-Christ.
Religious people, the Pharisees and the Sadducees killed Jesus. Now as you know, in one of the previous episodes, we were talking about the cross. And Jesus going to the cross, who put him there? The religious people.
Pretty so, pretty so. We understand that when you really dive into scripture, that this had to happen. And that God the Father orchestrated this to happen. I mean, this had to happen.
But what did he do? He set the stage and it was the religious people that actually put him on the cross. Somebody had to put him there. And it just so happened to be all the people that claimed to be God's very own people, claimed to be, you know, Christian, they were the religious people back then.
They worked in the temple. They done all the stuff. If you were to compare the religious people then, they would be the pastors, the teachers, the preachers, evangelists, you know, when you start comparing, that would have been the other side over there. And they are the ones that put Jesus on the cross.
They're the ones that hated him, ridiculed him, wanted to kill him. And eventually they did kill him. Now I want to add to that, that being a Christian, a Christian is not, there's so many labels. And people are really getting, when they hear the word Christian, they immediately go, oh no.
Because the word Christian has fallen into a connotation of religion. But a true Christian is a follower of Jesus Christ. That means you pick up your cross to follow him. You lay everything down.
When you're baptized and you go under the water, it's old man, pass away, new creation. That's the true Christian. So religion tends to distort that word. And we have a pastor friend that she doesn't even like using the word Christian anymore.
She likes the word disciple. And I'm a disciple of Jesus Christ, because that is known as picking up the cross and following him. Number five, religious people have no joy and ultimately no power. We kind of touched on that before.
Nehemiah 8, 10 declared that the joy of the Lord is our strength. I'm going to stop right there. The joy of the Lord is our strength. Now think about this.
No matter what you may be facing, no matter what hurdle you may have, whether it's disease or sickness, whether it's financial issues. Or I know I have talked with so many people lately, just in this last year, when they watch the news and everything, they get so depressed. If you are in true relationship, that through any hurdle, if you are truly free and you're in a relationship with Jesus Christ, you will still have joy. Your body may not be cooperating, but you'll still have joy because in joy you gain in our weakness, you gain joy.
In our weakness, we gain strength. Because that's the power of God imparted into you. So Nehemiah 8, 10 says, declare that the joy of the Lord is our strength. It denotes that the person who lives in the dwelling place, abiding in him and he'll abide in you, in the dwelling place of the Lord, the place of joy in the presence of the Lord.
There is fullness. Saints of God, I'm gonna share something with you really quick just about me personally. A month ago, I was diagnosed with a disease that supposedly I've had for probably a long time was misdiagnosed. And I have pain.
In the natural, I have excruciating pain. But I can tell you this morning, coming on my way to record this program for you to see, I was in such pain, I heard the enemy saying, you don't need to be doing it today. You're not gonna be able to do this today. But I declared the word of the Lord over my body and I demanded my body.
I crucified my flesh that I could stand before you with a hope, with a joy and with a strength that I am only getting from God. Do you hear me on that? This is God. What you see right here is my God, my supernatural divine God that gives me strength and gives me joy that I can put a smile on my face.
And I'm not saying I don't believe in faking it till you make it. I believe in trusting in God's word. And when you declare his word, it asked a manifest. And you may be sitting there asking you, but wait a minute, do you just said you have been diagnosed with something?
Yes. I'm fighting it with the word of God. I'm fighting it with the word of God. Am I healed yet in the natural sense?
No. But it's manifesting because God says that by his stripes, I am healed. You may be sitting there right now with something that is so debilitating, but because of religion, you're even afraid to go back to the church. And even, oh my God, my God, I didn't even know I was gonna go here baby.
Religion may have the body of Christ so bound up where you may be going to a local place and you need healing. You need to have hands laid on you, but you're afraid to confess that you are sick because you're afraid of being persecuted. But scripture says that you are to go to the elders and have them lay hands on you and that you shall recover. I am believing today that religion be broke off and you be set free, the Sadducees and the Pharisees and all of them, boy, they hated Jesus because guess what?
He got lay hands on the sick and they recover. That's why they killed him, but he was resurrected for you. Oh my God, I'm fired up baby. That's how much I hate the spirit of religion.
I hate the spirit of religion. I already said to you, I ate 10 tonight. Yes you did. Okay, well we're gonna go to number six.
Whoo, God is so good saints. God is so good. And I pray right now that you feel the fire of God in your room because I'm feeling that up in here right now. Religious spirits breed bondage.
Kinda just talked about this. And condemnation and block true liberty. Can you go to Galatians 5-1 for me, Apostle? Yes, Galatians 5-1.
Oh my God, it was for freedom that Christ set us free. Therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to the yoke of slavery. You know what? We live in a society that we are slaves to something.
Maybe a phone, maybe a tablet. Maybe your job. Maybe your job. Maybe the TV that you're actually looking at.
I mean that you're watching us on, maybe that TV has become, you become a slave to that TV. There is so many things that we rush to get off of work, to rush to. And Jesus Christ, He set us free. That's right.
He set us free indeed. And if you go on to Romans 8 and 1, it says, therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. So if you're found, if you are in Jesus Christ in Him, then there's no condemnation on you. There's that nobody's to condemn you.
Jesus Christ. But let me just say real quick, do not confuse condemnation with correction. If you are with a body of believers that are seeking Christ, Jesus, I'm talking about Holy Ghost, on fire for God. I'm not talking about a religion cult or anything like that.
I'm talking about an on fire, on fire. Miracles are happening. Because that's what we're supposed to do. It says in Scripture, we're to do greater.
So let me say this, to be discipled is to be corrected. Condonation puts guilt and that comes from the enemy. That is another stronghold. Don't confuse it to.
Go ahead, babe. Well, Scripture shows us, if you read throughout Scripture about what Jesus had done, done, said, and everything about Him. When He dealt with people, He always brought them with love, but He always brought correction. He never left their sin.
And then when He didn't point out and correct their sin, what was His last thing that He always said to a lot of them? Go and sin no more. So He's telling them now, the sin that you were doing, you can't do that anymore. Don't do it anymore.
Don't do it anymore. Because you were going to fall in that whole religious spirit. And there's so many people in. And I just want to tack on to this.
Christian is supposed to be Christ's light. Amen. Christian, there's so many people that label themselves Christian that are not Christians and it just dropped into my spirit. And James, I mean, John 4 and 23, where Jesus is telling the woman at the well, where the true worshipers will worship in spirit and in truth.
So there are, you can tell by that one verse that there are people that are not true worshipers and that there are people that are not true worshipers because He's specifically saying, there's going to come a time and an hour that you talk about worshiping over there and over there and over here and over here. And I'm not talking about a place, geographical place, but I'm talking about a place in your heart where you in your heart will stand and begin to worship in spirit, not in flesh, but in spirit and in truth. Well, where do you get truth? Truth comes from scripture.
Truth comes from the Holy Spirit. Truth comes from Jesus Christ. So truth, you've got to worship in spirit and in truth. And when you put those two together, then you will be Christ like, you will be a follower of Jesus Christ and you will evict the religious spirit side of your life.
I have to, I feel led. I have to read, I'm going to read to you, John 4. I'm going to start 22. So turn it into your, turn your, to it in your Bible.
Because I'm going to read 22, 23, and 24. I want you to hear word for word. Your, you worship what you do not know. Now this is a warning.
Saints of God, this is what God is saying in this hour. I'm talking about right now, whatever you're going through, this is what he's saying. You worship what you do not know. We know what we worship for salvation is of Jews.
But the hour is coming. That's now. And now is when the true worship rules were worshiped, the Father in spirit and in truth. Excuse me, for the Father is seeking, the Father is seeking such to worship him.
He is seeking. Do you not see that? He is known for yearning for. And verse 24 says, God is spirit and those who worship him must.
It didn't say may. It didn't say, you know, it says must worship him, worship in spirit and truth. So that means your worship must be in truth or it's not received. That's right.
And it must be in spirit. So we must be in a place daily of renewing our mind and repenting. Repentance means to turn away, not to do it again. Turn from your wicked ways.
Amen. So keep that in mind. Meditate on that. Do we have another?
I think we might have enough time to do another one. Number seven, religion creates a form. And we've kind of talked about this already, of godliness through regimen and repetition. How many times do we walk into church?
OK, here's praise and worship. Then there's prayer. Then there's the word. And then there's a blessing.
And you walk out the door. Or you're given a program. And it's line upon line, praise up upon, that would fall into religion that actually box the Holy Spirit in. And doesn't give the Holy Spirit who saints of God.
The Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost have three distinct. And I just realized we're going to have to teach on that. Three distinct characters. So remember, remember, with you're doing something repetitive or you're praying something repetitive, you can tend to fall into a religion.
It's kind of like the old prayer. Now I lay me down to sleep. I pray the Lord, my soul to keep it. I should die before I wait.
That we teach our children. I think it loses its power, actually. Second Timothy, three, five, that warns us to avoid people with these forms of godliness, because it's repetitive. It becomes a religion.
It becomes a routine. Instead of going, Holy Ghost, what are we doing today? Saints of God, we've kind of veered and derived from this because we're letting the Holy Spirit drive. Are you allowing the Holy Spirit to drive your life?
Do you have a relationship with the Holy Spirit? Because see, when Jesus went to sit at the right hand of the Father, he says, I will give you a comforter. I will bring you the Holy Spirit. That Holy Spirit's here to teach you, to comfort you, to guide you, to love you until Jesus says return.
But let me read this scripture, because in 2 Timothy three, five, let me read it real quick. And I'm going to actually read one, three, five. But realize this, that in the last days, difficult times will come. Folks, we're living in the last days.
If you don't realize that, well, surprise, we're living in the last days. And there will be some difficult times. Four men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, revilers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy. If you can't, everything that I've just read right there, if you can't look out into the world and see that just right in front of us.
That's why God says don't be a part of it. Yeah, unloving, irreconcilable, malicious, unholy, unloving, gossips, uh oh, wait a minute, gossips, we got gossips, we got people that gossip in the church, without self control, we got people that's without self control in the church, brutal haters, we got people hating all the time on people in the church of good, treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure, rather than lovers of God. That's just the fifth verse, holding to a form of godliness. Now they're doing all the above, but they're trying to hold to a form of godliness, although they have denied its power.
And then the last part of that verse says, avoid such men as these. Stay away from them, walk away from them. You cannot be friends with them. You cannot associate with them.
Don't go out to dinner with them. Don't go out to lunch with them. Keep them at a distance. And pray, pray for them.
I would pray for them. Be a witness to them, but don't get into a relationship with them, because if you ain't careful, and I've seen it before, where some people's like, well, I'm gonna hang out. Listen, when you hang with turkeys, you'll become a turkey. When you hang with buzzers, you'll become a buzzer.
Eagles do not hang around with buzzers. Eagles fly high. They don't hang with other birds, and other geese, or they don't do that. And we are compared to eagles.
So in fact, Eagle Wings Faith Ministry. So here you are. Don't hang with those type of people. Leave them all on.
Walk away from them. In fact, scripture says, avoid such people. That doesn't mean that you don't love them from afar. Well, yeah.
You love them. You believe for their deliverance. You believe for their healing. You believe for their salvation.
You don't just, but what we're saying is you become your environment. And so you want to surround yourselves with Godly people who will push you closer to Jesus, who will press you to go deeper into the Word of God, not pull you away, not detour you, not contaminate you, or pull you away from God's Word in any manner. So with what we just talked about, the religion of the anti-vangelist spirit, religion is anti-Christ. Religious people have no joy and ultimately no power.
Now before you go in, the religious people that have no joy, those are people that are trying to be Christians in the church, but they're trying to straddle the fence. They're trying to walk in religion without relationship. And that is going to be the most miserable person there is. That is a miserable place to be in.
The one foot out, one foot out. Which is why scripture says, don't be lukewarm or cold. Don't be lukewarm, be hot or cold. In fact, Jesus called them out and called them hypocrites.
And that's what they are, is hypocrites. So what was the next one that you were going to keep going on? Then seven, religion creates a form of godliness through regimen and repetition. A, religious corrupts and religion corrupts and perverts.
It promotes an unrealistic standard that cannot be obtained because of the dictates of the flesh. And we've talked a lot about this one already. This is why true worshipers worship and spirit and truth. The law was a school master that taught us that in and of our fleshly natures, we cannot obey the commandments of God.
And this is why we were given a new and better covenant, glory be to God, that happened on the cross. And it was fulfilled. The laws of God are now, the laws of God are now written, true Jesus, in our hearts and not on the tablets of stone, trying to live by that dictates of the tablets of stone, alone only opens the doors to corruption and perversion through religious spirits of failure. Religion will set you up for failure.
So with that being said, today, I am believing that today, you come out of religion and you come into a relationship with Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, as your best friend, as your father, as your daddy, as your provider, as your the one who guides you and leads you into peace and joy and love and patience and kindness that you literally have an impartation today that when you walk out your front door, that you change someone else's atmosphere, because we're supposed to be atmosphere changers. We're supposed to turn somebody's darkness and bring a light to their darkness and set the captives free. That's our job saints, that's your job. It is your job to help somebody else.
But when we're stuck in religion, we're really no good for anyone else because other spirits attach themselves to that. And we'll be talking more about that. So I pray that this today, illuminates and brings you revelation and some impartation. I pray that you put a smile on your face and that God's joy just engulfs you right where you're at, right now that his presence embraces you and just pours out a piece that surpasses all understanding.
I believe your healed in Jesus name. I believe you're loved, I know you're loved. So hold on to the hem of his garment. God's let you, we'll see you next time.
