Good evening, good evening. I am so happy that you all have decided to tune in today to today's inspiration We've been excited so much for having the visitors that we've had before and we are looking forward to other visitors to come on with us and so but let me open up in prayer and And just we're gonna get right down into the nitty gritty today. We're gonna talk about miracles in the storm You know, we are living in a in a society in a world that is actually broken and And and sometimes we are we feel like storm the like storms just all around us And sometimes it's hard to see miracles take place within those doors But I want to talk to you today about miracles in the storm Lord God. I thank you Lord Jesus for for this This show Lord God.
I thank you Lord God for the people this turn tuning in Lord God I pray Lord Jesus that what I say here Lord God it is not my words, but your words Lord God I pray Lord God that someone out there may be able to hear what I'm saying and that it touches her heart Lord God I pray Lord Jesus that they will be assured Today that their miracle is in their storm They just need to look up and accept the miracles from you Lord God. I ask it in Jesus name. I pray amen Amen, thank you again for joining in with us So miracles in the storm and I know that we could probably and I'm the world's worst of trying to get notes trying to get scripture I get too many scriptures sometimes But we could go through the scriptures and find different people that had rather storms in their life And and you could find those miracles that you may not you may not be able to Connect with each one of them But maybe out of the people that I talk about today Maybe you can kind of connect and I know that there's one that you can connect with but today before our first Person that we're going to talk about is Job and I know that everybody Job has been preached and preached and preached and you could preach all day long about what Job went through and there's so much In the book of Job to talk about but I want to talk about the miracle that he received in his storm So if you want to turn to me turn with me and Job chapter 1 and we're just going to start at verse 1 I'm not going to read it verbatim Verse by verse I jumped around some but at the beginning I want to start at Job 1 and in Job 1 chapter 1 verse 1 it says a man that was blameless and upright one that shunned evil and fear God So before we go any further look at Job. Job was a man that was blameless Now I can't say that about myself and there's a lot of people in this world that can't say that maybe you can't I don't know but according to scripture It says a man that was blameless and upright one that shunned evil and fear God now We also know and I know that there's people going to question well, why did this happen?
Why did that happen with Job? Why did Jesus allow this to happen with with Joe? Why did he allow Satan and I don't want to get into that because we live in a broken world Just like Job lived in the broken world He lived in the same world we live in but I want to talk about the storm that he was in and then the miracle that took place So before we go any before we go into his storm, let's look at Job and what he had Job 2nd verses says he had seven sons three daughters seven thousand sheep Now why am I counting all this out? Why because you'll understand it being seven sons three daughters seven thousand sheep 3000 camels five hundred yoke of oxen which if you understand yoke of oxen that's a pair so it's a thousand Oxen five hundred female donkeys and a very large house So this man was the greatest this was scripture says so this so that this man was the greatest of all people in the east So this guy would have been considered the greatest the richest he had everything that he needed And he was the greatest according to scripture.
So he had a Matthew 11 29 verse 11 29 3 30 it says take my yoke upon you and learn from me and see we're talking about the yoke of oxen because we Mentioned the yoke of oxen and a yoke of oxen means a pair of oxen and in Matthew 11 29 2 30 says take my yoke Upon you and learn from me for I'm gentle and humble and hard and you will find rest for your soul Do for my yoke is easy and my burden is light if you understand what a yoke of oxen is a yoke is put around To oxen and they are made to work they are made to pull a plow it is hard work for them to do that But God is comparing his yoke to the yoke of the world. He's comparing his yoke to that It's easy and dude around me 31 and 6 says be strong and courageous do not be afraid or tremble at them for the Lord Your God is one who goes with you he will not fail you or forsake you there's nothing in the world and the storm that Satan tries to bring At you there's nothing in this world that Satan can bring that God is not telling you to be strong and be courageous that God says He will never leave you nor forsake you as they a 41 in 10 says do not fear for I'm with you See you can when you find yourself in a storm And you're always like fighting against something God is trying to explain to you that he is there all the time Do not fear for I'm with you do not do not anxiously look about you for I am your God I will strengthen you and surely I will help you surely I will uphold you and my righteous right hand So God is here to help you through the storm So going on in verse 5 of Job chapter 1 Job begins to pray over his sons because of their sins So understand that Job was blameless, but that doesn't necessarily mean his children were blameless Job was without sin But his children wasn't because in verse 5 Job begins to pray over his sons because of their sins In verses 6 through 12 there was a conversation that happens between God and Satan That's the conversation that I don't want to even talk about today But the storm begins at that moment Job loses his property and his children and verses 13 through 15 a first messenger shows up in reports that an attack happened verses 16 a second message 17 a third message 18 a fourth message So in verses 6 13 through 18 four messengers showed up and what did he say the siberians attacked Fire burned and consumed sheep and servants the calderians Chalked eerians and I don't know if I'm saying it right form three bands and raided and killed them The fourth messenger reports a great white great wind came and destroyed the house and killed everything So all of a sudden Job found himself in a storm here. He has blameless, but and he's been praying over his children But all of a sudden he found himself where his his all of his livestock was taken his house was taken his children were killed His servants were killed so everything has been ripped away from him Have you ever felt that way in your life that that that you do this you find yourself Maybe moving two steps forward, but then you find three steps backward tomorrow Have you ever felt like that you struggle against This and that and you try to make ends meet and you just you sometimes at the end of the day You'll just want to pull your hair out And sometimes that's difficult to deal with on a daily basis But here Job has now all of a sudden dealt with this the same day He lost his whole family on the same day. So now let's move on in verses 23 22 It says Job rose toward his robe shaved his head now understand that that was accustomed for them when they when something tragic happened That's what they done Some people go out and I've broken world today today society Most people will go out and and and get depressed and and maybe maybe they want to Go out and drink Maybe go out and do all kinds of stuff.
So that was their custom That Job rose toward his robe shaved his head fell to the ground and he worshipped God now Before going any further that's probably the last thing most of us want to do when Storm happens in our life most of the time we always ask God why God why we always you know blame God Or we look to blame somebody but according to what scripture tells us, Job the first thing he done Was he fell on his face and he worshipped God? Job said naked I came from my mother's womb and naked I shall return The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away blessed said be the name of the Lord though All this Job did not sin nor did he blame God so all of this we can look and see okay Job had this storm major storm that come into his life and then all of a sudden You know all we find him worshiping God and never once blaming God now I know that I'm moving a little quick because uh time you know time constraints But job had a couple of two like three friends that showed up and Job chapter two Job's health was attacked by Satan Remember that we don't want to forget that it was everything ripped out of Job's hands And possessions but then all of a sudden when we move into chapter two his health is attacked So now he gets sick. He gets boils. He gets all kinds of stuff Job's wife even told him to curse God said Job rebukes her though And and all of this Job still did not sin so do his sickness family lost house lost Animals lost service lost he still did not sin and even rebuked his wife because his wife says hey You need to just curse God after seven days of sight.
No, it job 11 to 13 Job's three friends showed up to comfort him And and you can read scripture or what their names are after these seven days now There was customs back then that that they dealt with and there was a seven-day silence that Job went into So after seven days his friends began to give their advice and conversation was exchanged between them and Job Now I can go through all of those um, but and says I but but they didn't really give him good advice They uh, they basically was giving him bad advice and Job 16 2 and 3 it says I have heard many such things Sorrow comforts are you all is there no limit to windy words or what plays you and that you are That you answer Job 19 versus 2 and 3 says how long will you torment me and crush me with words? These 10 times you have insulted me you are not Uh, ashamed to wrong me since this is this is Job talking to his friends of what their device that they're giving him So uh, when when God toward the end because we're talking about storms and now we see that Job is in a storm And he how is he recovering through this storm? So now let's go to the end of Job because in the middle of that There's a lot of conversations that take place between his friends and Job and it's just a lot of conversation But at the end of the day the lump sum Is in Job 42 729. It says God says to Eliphaz that his wrath is kindled against him That's one of the friends his wrath is kindled against him and the two friends because they had not spoken of God That what is right as Job has so his friends were actually uh, condemning God His friends were telling Job of giving him bad, uh, bad advice and didn't speak of God correctly And so now God is actually talking to the uh, the friends And it says uh, he gives them instructions to go to Job with burnt offerings and he will pray for you So now here's what's taking place understand here.
Job has went to this storm And all of a sudden uh, uh, Job is now having his friends to uh, to give him bad advice Now all of a sudden God is telling his friends to now look at Job for Job allowed for Job to pray for them and in verses uh, um, it says here God will accept his prayers But yours he rejects now here comes the miracle in the storm God restores Job's fortune How does he restore Job's vote fortune? In verses 9 through 10 so Eliphaz Builded and so far went and did as the Lord told them and the Lord accepted Job The Lord restored the fortunes of Job when he prayed for his friends and the Lord increased all that Job had to fold So when Job prayed for someone else when Job prayed for his three friends, then Job's was restored So if I could tell you anything about what happens in your miracle, uh, in your storm How do you find your miracles? Well, when a storm takes place, uh, maybe find somebody to pray for Begin to worship God first worship God go through your silence go through your morning for a period But make sure that you do not blame God and worship God And then when you have an opportunity to pray for somebody don't sit here and go oh, oh me Oh, my whoa is me. Whoa is just go ahead and lay and and begin to pray for speak other people Pray for their problems and all of a sudden you will find just like Job He was restored all everything was restored that was lost when he prayed for his three friends So maybe in your storm, maybe what you've lost Maybe the things that needs to be restored will be restored when you begin to pray for someone else Now i'm not going to be able to to hit all of the other ones That I really wanted to talk about but let's talk about uh, Peter real quick You remember Peter the guy that walked on water, uh in Matthew 14 22 through 33 Jesus had sent them out into the boat And Jesus had went up onto the mountain to pray and all of a sudden it was like the fourth watch the fourth watch is about three To six a.m.
In the morning. So this is like Way in the morning after way after people have already long gone to bed and sounded slate All of a sudden Jesus decided to uh approach them and though while they were in the boat And if you understand the story there was actually uh, uh, uh, it was like a fog They couldn't see and it says immediately Jesus made the disciples get in the boat And go before him to the other side while he sent the multitude away And when he had sent them all to the way he went up into the mountains by himself to pray That was one of Jesus's cousins now when it even came He was alone there and the boat was now in the middle of the sea and it began to be tossed by the waves and the wind was contrary Now the fourth watch uh, the fourth watch, uh, and Jesus went to them walking in the sea And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea they were trouble saying is that a ghost And and they cried out for fear so it really wasn't a fog but there was a storm that had creaked up on them And now the boat is being tossed to infrow and if you've ever been now in a storm on a ocean like Big water then you would understand it. It's kind of scary and when the disciples saw him they thought it was a ghost But immediately Jesus spoke to them and says be a good cheer It is Excuse me. Uh, be a good cheer.
It is I do not be afraid. So Jesus is telling them. Hey, don't worry about it. It's me.
It's me. You're your buddy And peter answered and said lord if it is you command me to come to you in the water Now first off remember there's a storm that's taken place a storm has already crept up on all of them Now all of a sudden they see Jesus and peter says hey if it's you lord bid me to come to you And so jesus says come and when peter come down out of the boat he walked on the water, uh to go to jesus so peter Peter actually walked on water now you know and I know i've never walked on water And I am uh, if you've ever jumped off of a diving board Maybe walk try to walk across water. It's like entirely impossible to walk on water But again like I said before what what is impossible? Uh at the beginning of this where jesus goes with us He went ever leaving snorfersakus.
So now here is peter walking on water And what does scripture say but when he saw the wind was boisterous He was afraid so now he's starting to pay attention to the storm that he is in he's starting to look He was afraid and beginning to sink he cried out saying lord say to me so at this moment understand the picture There's a storm that has already came and has been tossing the boat to and fro and then all of a sudden jesus shows up He tells peter to come to him he gets out of the boat because he's not paying attention to the storm He gets out of the boat and he walks and then all of a sudden he takes his eyes off of jesus And begins to pay attention to the storm and so when he's looking at the storm All of a sudden he begins to sink so let me set this real quick There's a storm All the disciples are in it peter is the only one that says if I pay attention to god and keep focus on him I can walk to him and that's what he done he got out of the boat and as long as his eyes was on god On jesus christ then he didn't he didn't sink in the water He walked on the water But the moment that he looked away from jesus Look over here looked over here and paid attention to the storm then all of a sudden he began to sink And immediately jesus stretched that and that's a wonderful thing about jesus That's a wonderful thing about miracles in the storm because immediately jesus stretched out his hand and caught him and said Oh you of little faith. Why did you doubt? So here is peter's storm the storm that everybody's in and then he gets out And because there's there's multiple storms going on he gets out and he's walking on the water But then he pays attention to the storm and now he begins to sink and immediately jesus is right there to bring him back up So the storm that you're in pay attention and keep your focus on jesus Then if we go on though and verse 32 it says and when they got into the boat they who is they jesus to peter What the the wind ceased then those who were in the boat came and worshiped him saying truly you are the son of god So listen that see there's two people here. There's two groups here Peter was in his storm, but the rest of disciples that was in the boat was also in their storm So peter in his storm lost focus of jesus But then he regained focus of jesus jesus saved him out of his storm and miracle took place But then they both went back and got back into the boat and immediately the miracle again took place in that storm The wind died the storm ceased.
So I want to thank you for for joining with me I hope you were able to receive something. I hope if you will focus your eyes on jesus Your miracle will be in your storm. He is the miracle He is the god the man that came from heaven to earth to be that miracle for you in your life So I want to thank you for joining me here in this segment and so I just want to to pray real quick I pray for some pray for everyone that's out there lord god I pray lord jesus as we close this segment up lord god I pray lord jesus that you will be the miracle in their storm lord god I pray lord god that they will get into scripture that they will get into your word that they will get into Your presence lord god that they will worship you lord god And I pray that they will keep focused on you and that you will become the miracle and their storm right here today in jesus Name I pray.
