Today's Practice Minute: Professional Recruitment

Welcome to today’s Practice Minute. Today I wanted to share with you what it is like to be a Professional Recruiter. I woke up and received an email from a doctor that was interested in moving to another jurisdiction where I have clients. She saw my ad in the Professional Association newsletter. I responded to her email asking questions like what Professional School she attended, when did she graduate from and where did she practice. I also asked for her resume or CV. I received that and contacted my client to see if he was interested in this doctor and if he had any questions which he did. I got back to the candidate asked the questions about her experience and her expectations for employment. She wanted a certain salary and conditions which I let my client know. We negotiated a bit on their terms back and forth a couple times initially by phone then by text. I have set up a phone call to introduce them tomorrow and will send information to them tonight on the other party. I will also get some talking points together and ask each party if they have any questions before the phone call.
