Together We Can Win!

Episode 9In this episode, I sit down with Dr. Wright with We Can Win! It was insightful and a special one for men in the African American community. He also mentioned being supportive of those battling with endometriosis symptoms!Dr. Wright launched We Can Win- "Real Talk About Prostate Cancer" in February 2022, a nonprofit organization committed to bringing the importance of early screening and detection for prostate cancer to the African American male communities, after being diagnosed with the disease in 2012, and going through a non-surgical procedure in 2018. Since then, the organization has expanded its scope to include breast cancer, and hopes to include education relating to other types of cancers in the near future. The organization is based in Dallas, and has expanded into the Fort Worth/Tarrant County area. Dr. Wright recently partnered with Tarrant County Commissioner Roy Brooks and his nonprofit organization, Healthy Lives Matter, an organization dedicated to ensuring that African Americans males are well educated about things that relate to prostate cancer.Dr. Wright has worked with such organizations Zero Prostate Cancer, Harold C. Simmons Comprehensive Cancer Center, The American Cancer Society, All of Us - The Research Program, and other organizations to help further the fight to wipe out prostate cancer.
