Admittedly, all of these thoughts have crossed my mind at different points in my life when I’ve wanted to share the things I’ve kept hidden with the people closest to me. And I know I’m not alone. Saying something out loud that you’ve never said before can feel terrifying. But it can also feel like returning a missing puzzle piece to your soul. In that moment you take a little piece of your power back. You push back against fear. You allow yourself to be seen. We all experience defining moments that shape who we become. We all hurt.
