Irish director, Tony Donoghue (director of Irish Folk Furniture) and Australian director Timothy Wilde (director of #30) are finalists in the 2013 MANHATTAN SHORT.  The MANHATTAN SHORT screens between September 27 and October 6th, in over 300 around the world, with audience members selecting their favorite film with the winner announced in New York City on October 6th. Irish Folk Furniture, a the stop-motion animated documentary, tells the story of the restoration of sixteen pieces of abandoned folk furniture in rural Ireland, shot in an environmentally friendly way using readily available equipment and natural light, and featuring local craftspeople and narrators. The live action comedy/drama short film, #30, is the story of a performer, Chelsea, and her unconventional approach to auditioning for a role in Hamlet.
