What culture do you want to work in? * You need honesty. Dishonesty leads to more failures down the road. * It's important to acknowledge accomplishments. * Organizational behavior, structural management. * If no one on your team is honest with you, the customer will be. * I have a problem with people focused on the time issue instead of the results. * Acknowledge activity that is tied to results. * I'm blunt because your time is as valuable as mine. * Everyone is not equal. * The whole way our economy works is through division of labor. * We always validate what we say. * If you want teams that will care and get results then there will be conflict. * Organizational Behavior 101, healthy conflict is good. * There is a difference between being rude and being honest. * There has to be blunt talk to students. They need to see the real world. * If you don't have the skin for honest blunt feedback then don't even start. * What have you built? There are many "entrepreneurs" who are not. * I discount your opinion if you don't have any skin in the game. * Is it an exercise for theory or is it reality? * If you work for a company and not yourself, it is a whole different thing. * The thing about "tough love" is holding yourself accountable. * If you are the business owner, you own the mistakes. * The "happy go lucky" model doesn't hold weight for me.
