Ron Lemmens sprak tijdens Trending met EU-correspondent Simon Trommel. In februari, maart en april hoorde je Trending vanuit Straatsburg, waar Ron Lemmens sprak met diverse Nederlandse Europarlementariërs. Voor sommige van hen waren dit de laatste maanden in het parlement, voor anderen waren deze maanden de route naar de verkiezingen op 6 juni in Nederland. Deze aflevering van Trending kwam vanuit onze hoofdstad, waar Ron met EU-correspondent Simon Trommel keek naar de laatste stand van zaken in Europa en dat uiteraard vanuit een Nederlands perspectief. Wat brengt Europa voor de ondernemers en hoe zit het eigenlijk met de campagnes. De combinatie tussen Europa en het toekomstige kabinet in Nederland? Daarnaast hoorde je fragmenten van gesprekken met Europarlementariërs die nu als lijstrekker of nummer twee de kar trekken richting de Europese Verkiezingen. Bijvoorbeeld Tom Berendsen, lijstrekker van het CDA; Malik Azmani, lijsttrekker van de VVD; Mohammed Chahim, de eerste man voor PvdA en nummer twee van de combinatie GroenLinks-PvdA. Tot slot keek Ron ook naar de kleinere partijen als ChristenUnie, SGP en JA21! en het platform Meer Directe Democratie. Ook met deze partijleiders werden de afgelopen twaalf maanden diverse gesprekken gevoerd. Luister hier alle gesprekken met de Nederlandse Europarlementariërs van de afgelopen tijd terug.
