Trevor Newbrook: Chair of Restore Rotorua on emergency housing hearing

This week, a hearing has heard heartfelt pleas from Rotorua locals as the future of the city's emergency housing or ‘MSD Mile’ is considered.  Residents and business owners have had their say at the hearing in front of three independent commissioners.  They have also heard from the applicants – the Ministry of Housing and Urban Development who want to keep running 13 motels as emergency housing.  Chair of Restore Rotorua, Trevor Newbrook, joined us to explain how the emergency housing is impacting the wider community and harming tourism.
