Ebrima Jallow is a Minneapolis-based entrepreneur whose path to tech was anything but linear. Born and raised in The Gambia, he found consistency and pride as a painter, first painting custom window frames and later painting MRI machines. Those years of solitary work in a secluded paint booth became his refuge and creative incubator, planting the seeds for the careful craftsmanship and deep thinking he brings to software today.When the 2008 financial crisis cost him his painting job, Ebrima enrolled in college (fall 2009) to study software development. A lifelong curiosity about the precision of ATMs - machines that effortlessly deliver exactly what you ask for - sparked his fascination with computer science and its power to blend clear instruction with seamless user experience. Even a detour into computer forensics couldn’t derail his passion for product development. Working as a Business Analyst, he learned to translate human needs into functional software, testing and refining ideas until they truly served the people who used them.That experience, coupled with a love of vintage culture and the stories of the past, led him to create Trippz. Ebrima spent countless hours consuming content from the early 2000s, 90s, and 80s, but he noticed a gap on social media: there was no dedicated space to celebrate and preserve these memories. So he built one.
