Trojans kick off fall camp and hold a night practice in the Coliseum
from Peristyle Podcast - USC Trojan Football Discussion · host USCFootball.com - Ryan Abraham, 247Sports, USC, USC Trojans, USC football, College Football
In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham and Chris Trevino are back talking about the Trojans kicking off their fall camp practices with a morning workout on campus and a night practice in the Coliseum. The guys go over what they have seen from the two workouts that were partially open to the media, what the coaches and players had to say afterwards plus they have an update on the injury situation, with some key players out including one of the leaders on the defensive side of the ball, linebacker Shane Lee.The guys also talk about the USA Today Coaches Poll that dropped this week and give their thoughts on where USC comes in (No. 15) plus how a few of the Trojans opponents are ranked including Notre Dame, Utah and Pac-12 foe (potential championship game opponent) Oregon. The B1G media deal appears to be coming together so Ryan and Chris talk about what has been reported, including ESPN backing out of negotiations, and what it could mean for the USC football program going forward, including if the Trojans will see fewer night games being part of a Midwestern based conference. Not that Trojan fans want to see a lot of punting, but head coach Lincoln Riley did follow through on his promise of a plan in place to replace punter Atticus Bertrams with the announcement of the addition of another Australian punter, Aiden Sleep-Dalton. Sleep-Dalton had to travel to London for a week just to secure a visa to come to the United States and he is yet to be medically cleared, but it appears Sleep-Dalton will be the Trojans punter going forward. If you have a question for Ryan and Chris you can drop them an email at [email protected] review, rate and subscribe to the Peristyle Podcast on Apple Podcasts! Thanks to Trader Joe's for sponsoring the Peristyle Podcast!Make sure you check out USCFootball.com for complete coverage of this USC Trojan football team.
