Trouble Before the Triumph Fight the good fight of the faith. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32 Persecution comes because of the word. Mark 4:17 But since they have no root, they last only a short time. When trouble or persecution comes because of the word, they quickly fall away. Matt. 13:21 Persecution comes because of the Word’s sake. What you believe will be contradicted. But you must remember the contradiction is not superior to the promise. When His Word goes forth, it alerts the demons spirits of what is coming, and they rise to steal that Word. It is their primary purpose to bring confusion, stumbling and discouragement to choke out the Word from becoming fruitful.
