Truly Saved - Part 3

As Pastor Gene Wolfenbarger concludes this message on being truly saved, he highlights this last critical point: our assurance is not in our past, but in the current state of our walk with Christ. When we are walking in repentance, walking in faith, spending time with God in the secret place, and are in an active, daily relationship with Him, that is where we find our assurance. We repent when He says to repent. We love when He says to love. We give when He says to give. We live under His Lordship. That is what it means to follow Jesus, but there has to be an inward change of heart. We have to see Him as the Lord of our life with a new awe and reverence. We pray that Lord would open our eyes to see Him in all His glory and His power, and that He would place a new fear of the Lord inside of us like never before.
