Het land zoekt nu meer toenadering tot Rusland en China: begin deze week bracht de Chinese minister van Buitenlandse Zaken een officieel bezoek aan India, en morgen ontmoeten de Russische en Indiase ministers van Buitenlandse Zaken elkaar. Wat staat er op de agenda, en wat zeggen de ontmoetingen over de machtsverhoudingen op het wereldtoneel? NRC-correspondent Lisa Dupuy geeft inzicht vanuit India. Kan Europa aansprakelijk worden gesteld voor genocidaal geweld in Gaza? Premier Netanyahu maakt vanochtend bekend 60.000 extra duizend reservisten op te roepen voor de bezetting van Gaza Stad. Daarmee gaat Israël lijnrecht in tegen het advies van het Internationaal Gerechtshof om de bezetting juist te beëindigen. Europese landen veroordelen de plannen, maar slagen er niet in om de voortdurende militaire operatie te stoppen. Welke aansprakelijkheid valt hen ten deel?
