The new curriculum, run through Health and Human Services, deletes every mention of birth control, teaches girls their menstrual cycle is the “central event” of their health, and warns teenage boys that masturbation “may affect neural development.”Jessica Valenti at Abortion Every Day pulled the actual funding documents and broke down what they require. Programs must teach girls about the “disadvantages of ovarian suppression,” which is federal code for discouraging the Pill, while offering “body awareness,” meaning period tracking, in place of contraception.It lines up exactly with the Heritage Foundation roadmap to push young women into early marriage and motherhood instead of college and careers.
