There were good things and bad things about Mr Trump’s talk at the Republican convention. I was kept up till midnight when my bedtime is usually 10. But other than the music by Kid Rock, I enjoyed the whole thing. I was moved as Trump gave credit to God for his miraculous survival from an evil assassin. I was moved by Mr Trump’s family, all of them, being there to hear him, to love him, to support him. I was excited to think that America will recover from the worst presidency I’ve seen in my 80 years. But Mr Trump has his work cut out for him. Biden burnt the house down. It’s a lot harder to rebuild than it is to destroy. Mr Trump will remain in my prayers. For his safety, and for his success in making America great again.
