Two suspects arrested for the alleged possession of abalone without documentation.

Two foreign nationals have been arrested in Brackenfell for the alleged possession of abalone without documentation. Police say an intelligence-driven operation led members of the Kuilsrivier Stock Theft and Endangered Species Unit and Maitland Flying Squad to a storage facility in Brackenfell Industrial. They seized 9,439 units of dried abalone, with the value yet to be determined, as well as two vehicles. The suspects, a 49-year-old Chinese national and a 36-year-old Tanzanian national, are due to appear in the Kuilsrivier Magistrates’ Court .
