Diese scheinbar einfache Frage führt mitten hinein in eine bewegende Lebensgeschichte. Johannes wusste schon mit 13 Jahren, dass er Pfarrer werden will – in dem Moment, als er hinter dem Sarg seiner Mutter herlief. Heute arbeitet er im Oderbruch, einer Region, in der viele Lebensgeschichten von Flucht, Neuanfang und der Suche nach Identität geprägt sind. In Gesprächen mit Menschen, in alten Kirchenbüchern und in der Seelsorge begegnet ihm immer wieder dieselbe Frage: Woher kommen wir – und was trägt uns im Leben? Eine ruhige, persönliche Geschichte über Verlust, Glauben, Zuhören und darüber, warum Johannes glaubt, dass Kirche überall dort entsteht, wo Menschen füreinander da sind.
